Let There Be Light

I rant enough about my new (now not so new) apartment, and I’m going to keep ranting till I can’t anymore. I am completely inspired by this Design Sponge post of Kimi and Paul Galloway’s Prospect Park apartment. So much so, that I went out hunting for the perfect old branch to attach a hanging lamp to.

I love that my room did not come with a roof light. It’s given me lots of freedom, and quite a challenge trying to figure out how to illuminate it. And until a week ago, it was strictly candles, don’t get me wrong, I LOVE candles but, I also love my eye sight, and can’t ruin it any further by reading things in “sexy dim” lighting.

So, I’ve got the branch, need to put in some work the get all the fungi off the branch, and need a light. I’m hoping this is everything I’m imagining it to be! Wish me luck.
