Snipets Of A Day

So many things I’m loving about New York. Like, this one day when…

We wandered around our hood… In the rain. And found Dante’s, with their cranberry cornbread!

And creamed spinach and 4th Of July beans… And RIBS. And side note, I’ve eaten ribs 4 times since I’ve been in New York. YUM.

And I fell in love with these sidewalk planters.

Then we had a family (artsy) outing.

To Times Square, in more rain.

To get JUNIORS!

This “Something Different” sandwich thing is to die for. Potato pancakes outside of hot brisket. With adju sauce and apple sauce?! Damn… Heart attack number 2.

And yes, we came here for this.

I win.

It’s getting real chilly around here… And today, I’m off to eat more amazing NY cuisine.

I should really get a job soon. Nah.

Sunny Sunday

First Sunday in New York. Church, a nice walk through Central Park, and a-ho-lotta YUM.

Dallas BBQ has this crazy onion loaf. I had a heart attack before our main course…

Cruised over to Central Park. I love autumn. And this guy.

Watched the Yankees whoop the Angels later… Home made guacamole. Holy moley!

And moms tryna guilt trip me for leaving home… She makes it hard.

Willyburg

Stopped into our roomies restaurant for a bite one night. Is it me or does EVERYTHING taste better in New York?

Appetizers – Steak Tartar, seafood stew. Woah.

Entrees – Gnocchi, some really good fish dish that I can’t remember the name of, and baby butter lettuce salad with a white balsamic dressing.

Dessert – I don’t know what this is, but it’s incredible. Some kinda of special creme brulee. YUM!

And some random night we had really great bottle service.

Yea, it’s real crazy here!

Overload

We’ve been in NY for over a week now. The weather’s been amazing for the most part, extremely sunny, and I’m not sweating my ass off like back home…

Gonna give you a few quick update blogs.

Union Square.

Ok, now I’ve eaten a lot of good shit since I’ve been here, and I’ll share, of course, but HOLY CRAP! Max Brenner is really top of my list right now!

If you’ve never been, it’s a must visit. They’re a real Willy Wonka factory! Chocolate pipes running through the place, heaven.

AND THE FOOOOOOD!!! Portabello Burger minus the portabello, sub a beef patty… Woah.

And the Mac and CHEESE! Best one I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a lot.

Night One

We’re finally, IN NEW YORK!

First night out on the town, Jami took me to Serendipity!!! And holy Frozen Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate you are my best friend! Boyfriend scored major points. The rest of the night was kinda of a blurrrrr… And a good one at that. Been real busy moving into my new place and furnishing it. I’m taking up interior design as a hobby. This room is gonna look incredible!

Just a side note until the next update, New York, I love you.

OHNY Weekend is this weekend. This event really is amazing, offering free tours of the city’s architecture and design. Can’t wait to catch it the next time around…
